National Doctors’ Day celebration

Carl Jung has rightly quoted, “Medicine cure diseases but only doctors can cure patients.”

National Doctors’ Day, observed on the 1st of July every year, is a special occasion dedicated to recognizing the outstanding contributions of our medical professionals. This year, we decided to come together and celebrate Doctors’ Day to express our gratitude for their remarkable dedication and selflessness. We took this opportunity to thank our medical staff for their untiring support, standing by us and helping us lead happier, healthier lives.

During our Doctors’ Day celebration, our children created beautiful cards and bouquets for the medical staff. They expressed their love through poems and speeches. People shared touching stories of how doctors had assisted them during challenging moments. The ladies prepared homemade dishes as a heartfelt gesture for the medical staff. We presented a cake and honored the medical staff for their dedicated efforts. It was a truly special and emotional occasion for everyone involved.

Our doctor delivered a heartfelt speech emphasizing the importance of teamwork in the medical profession. He highlighted how everyone, including ambulance drivers, administration staff, medical assistants, and helpers, plays a vital role during emergencies and day to day service. He also explained the significance of National Doctors’ Day, which commemorates the memory of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy. He shared that Dr. BC Roy, who served as both a doctor and a politician, never took a holiday throughout his career. Even after becoming the Chief Minister of West Bengal, he continued to practice one hour of free service daily. This inspiring example showcases the dedication and selflessness of doctors. We feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to express our heartfelt appreciation for this noble profession.

As Albert Einstein said, “Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile,” I kindly urge everyone to make use of the month of July as an opportunity to express love and gratitude to the doctors and medical personnel within your community. Let us show our appreciation for their selfless service and dedication by showering them with love and support during this special time.
