Movie Review : “TJMM”

“Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar” is a remarkable family-oriented movie that showcases the brilliant direction of Luv Ranjan. This film takes you on an emotional journey, bringing out laughter, tears and love. It offers a fresh and engaging view of modern love and the expectations that come together with it. The movie starts slow where the girl and boy meet and fall in love with each other, followed by songs but the second half is outstanding, leaving a lasting impact.

Luv Ranjan’s talent as a dialogue writer is seen evidently in his dialogues, even in longer ones. The actors deliver their lines with brilliance, adding reality to the characters. The film keeps the audience engaged with moments of excitement, and the climax leaves viewers in splits. Though the movie seems to be dragged at some points, it becomes interesting, making the last 30 minutes truly worth watching.

The music in the movie is outstanding, composed by Pritam. The song “Tere Pyar mein” by Arijit Singh and Nikhita Gandhi is already a hit. Rest of the songs are equally delightful, especially the song “Jaduui” which is a highlight, with captivating lyrics that make us fall in love with our dreams. Jubin Nautiyal’s soulful voice perfectly matches the melody. The chemistry between Ranbir and Shraddha enriches the charisma of this song. Another touching song is “O bedardeya” sung by Arijit Singh.

The portrayal of family bonds and love is handled beautifully. The climax of the film delivers a relatable message. The performances of both Ranbir and Shraddha are up to the mark. In some of the scenes they might sound loud especially in the monologues. But overall, they look perfect together. The supporting cast adds depth and brings their characters to life. Boney Kapoor is seen playing Ranbir’s father. He should have got some more dialogues though. Dimple looks realistic in her character. Special mention of Inayat Verma for her exceptional performance as Sweetu(Ranbir’s niece) in the movie. The guest appearances by Kartik Aaryan and Nushrratt Bharuccha add extra spice to the movie.

Overall, “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar” is a light-hearted movie that combines excellent direction, brilliant performances, relatable messages, and enchanting music. It will leave you entertained and touched by its representation of love, family, and life.
