In “Good Vibes, Good Life”, Vex King has shared his experiences of life. He explained how he could overcome his hardships and transform his miserable life into a happy and successful one. His childhood was full of troubles. when he was a baby, he lost his father and till the age of three he was homeless. He and his family were forced to live in housing shelters or with relatives or sometimes in localities with troubled neighborhood. His mother being a strong woman always reassured and encouraged him. With his positive outlook towards life Vex was able to change his life. Today, he is a successful writer, social media influencer, mind coach and lifestyle entrepreneur. His motive behind writing this book is to help people change their lives in a positive way. He aims to make everyone a better person in each and every way for rest of the life. 

The book is divided into seven parts. 

Part1: A Matter of Vibes: This part focuses on law of attraction and law of vibration. Vex quotes that ” The universe responds to your vibration. It will return whatever energy you put out. ” He gives importance to Law of vibration more than law of attraction. According to Vex, for any idea to become reality you need to watch its vibrational frequency. You have to believe the idea as true and then its chances of coming towards you, are sure. You need to be in vibrational resonance with your idea to attract it into your life. Good vibes(vibration) are high states of vibration. So, it’s important to feel good, happy and joyful in life to be in higher vibration state to manifest what we want. On the contrary, feeling of hatred, anger, jealousy, despair result into negative emotions that have a low vibration, and they’ll attract what you don’t want in life. 

Part2: Positive Lifestyle Habits: There are many lifestyle habits which will help you to be in high vibration state. Some are temporary like laughing, hugging your loved ones, music, exercise, sleeping, kid acts and various other activities that give you joy. Mediation technique can help you to attain higher vibration levels over time regardless of whatever happens in your life. Since energy is contagious you need to surround yourself with positive people who are vibrating higher than you. Sometimes even if you act like you are happy and keep smiling, your inner state will automatically change into high vibration. Take out time for yourself, unplug from the world, spend time in nature to get rejuvenated and recharged. You need to always find inspiration through anything like self-books, movies, newspapers or novels to keep yourself motivated. You should consume fresh fruits, nuts and raw vegetables in your diet as these foods have high vibration state and make less use of foods which have low vibration energies. These are boiled foods, eggs, sugarcane, wine and milk. Caffeinated drinks, alcohol and processed foods have very low vibrations so these can be completely avoided. The author suggests practicing gratitude and says, “The more you count your blessings, the more blessings you’ll have to count.” 

Part3: Make Yourself a Priority: The author also suggests making yourself a priority. Sometimes in doing good to others we neglect ourselves. That can put us into a stressful situation. Not everyone in this world will like you. You will come across some haters in your life. The best method to stay unaffected by them is silence and joy. The author has used one quote of Mahatma Gandhi, “Nobody can hurt me without my permission”.

Part4: Accepting Yourself: It is very important to take care of yourself, give importance to yourself and enjoy your own company. You have to accept yourself as God has made you. Accept your beauty, strong points and flaws too. Then only you will inspire others to be happy. Do not compare yourself with others. That can be the most common reason for your misery. The author says, “competing with others encourages bitterness not betterment”

Part5: Manifesting Goals: Mind Work The author says, “You can’t move forward with thoughts that hold you back”. If you want to manifest anything, then having a positive mindset is a must. Sometimes it is difficult to control external things, but you can always control your inner self. You need to change your response to negative things rather than changing them. The author gives advice on writing your goals. While writing down your goals, write everything in detail, in present tense and if possible, with pen or pencil. Say them aloud every day and feel confident about it and you will surely get a good outcome. 

Part6: Manifesting Goals: Taking Action: Once your goals are set take actions. Doesn’t matter if the steps are small but start. You need to step out of your comfort zone to change your situation. Similarly, being consistent in your mission helps to shape your lives. Do not procrastinate as it will only delay your dreams. You can always break big tasks into smaller ones if big goals are overwhelming for you. 

Part7: Pain and Purpose: Always remember, whatever happens to you has a reason. You can see a negative experience as an opportunity or learning rather than suffering. Do not allow your circumstances to spoil your future. Life will bless you, but you need to be prepared to give the tests.
