I don’t even remember how many audio books I have gone through in these 2 years. While searching for audio books I stumbled upon short stories on YouTube. Manoj Muntashir Hindi Stories
Manoj Muntashir is a famous Indian poet and lyricist who is acknowledged for his distinguished work in song and script writing. Hindi stories narrated by Manoj Muntashir on YouTube channel are absolutely fantastic. His remarkable way of story-telling will make you visualize each and every line of the story so clearly. I wonder how a single voice can depict so many characters so perfectly. Whether it’s a character of an aged person or a child, man or woman, he narrates it so aptly.
He has narrated literary work of various writers and poets. My most liked among them is “Shahzada”. It is a short heart rendering story by famous writer Krushna Chandar. In this story, every single emotion is explained in a beautiful way. Manoj’s brilliant story telling will make your eyes moist in the end. After listening to this story, I started taking interest in Hindi literature.

I would also suggest Munshi Premchand’s epic stories narrated by Manoj Muntashir. His exceptional recitation will make you nostalgic. Some of these stories were included in our school syllabus. The impeccable rendition of these stories will take you down the memory lane. Premchand’s famous work comprising Idgaah, Kafan, Budhi kaki, Mantra and many more such stories are narrated in a surreal way. These stories are so old, still applicable in today’s world. Manoj not only narrates the story but explains the context and intricacies of writing in such a way that it appeals to the current generation listeners. His “Atal Ji ki Hazir-jawaabi” is one of my favorite videos. https://youtu.be/tXl_KeVW7lo
Swami Vivekanand’s Chicago Speech and Lord Krishna’s story are enlightening videos. After listening to his powerful voice in “Jauhar” and “Haldighati” episodes you will feel the pride of being an Indian. The background music used in these videos is also engaging! His unique way of presenting these writings will leave deep impressions on your heart.
Neelesh Misra Stories
Where Manoj Muntashir is doing incredible job by reviving the legacy of great authors and poets, Neelesh Misra is giving platform to growing writers. Apart from his own stories he narrates stories written by other writers too. He has got his “Mandli” of budding writers delivering lovely plots and fresh stories. The characters are of present generation and so appropriate. Very simple lines, nothing verbose! He narrates the stories in a soothing and elegant way. The way he introduces himself in the beginning of every story is quite interesting. Once you listen to his stories, you will get addicted to his sublime voice. Sometimes he sings few lines of song amidst the story, sometimes he uses different accents, few lines of English and everything is so pleasing. He describes his “yaad sheher” in such a marvelous manner that it feels, you are actually living in this world of fantasy.
So, whenever you get fed up with monotonous routine, just listen to these wonderful audio stories. These stories act as perfect stress buster. You will not realize how your time will pass listening to these interesting stories.
