KGF: Chapter2 will be remembered as one of the best gangster movies in the Indian film industry. Despite being a long movie, fans are enjoying it. The onset of multi-lingual films has brought a big revolution in Indian cinema. No more remakes now!
KGF2 will make you nostalgic. It will remind you of movies like Agnipath, Thalapathi, Nayakan, Satya, Vastav, Company, etc. KGF2 is Prashant Neel’s Magnus opus that showcases the star power of actor Yash. He has given Yash, the best opportunity to express his emotions, actions, and romance in this movie. Yash, undoubtedly, is the next Angry Young Man in the Indian film industry. His charisma as “Rocky” will not fade for years together.
The movie is fast-paced and you cannot miss any of the scenes. It’s an out-and-out Yash and Prashant Neel film. When Yash is on the screen you cannot expect anything but goosebumps and an adrenaline rush. His swag, style, and appearance are mesmerizing. I am sure he is going to rule the film industry with his style and his massive fan following. The film’s supporting cast has done excellent work. Sanjay Dutta as Adheera and Ravina Tandon as Ramika Sen were wonderful in their roles. Srinidhi looks beautiful in her role as Reena. Her role could have been much better though. It is worth noticing that she is an electrical engineer and has represented India in Miss Supranational in 2016 and won the beauty pageant.
The film evidenced, how far ahead Kannada cinema is in terms of storytelling. The movie is of marvel standard with loaded action sequences, heavy dialogues, and grandiose stunts. It’s a film, where the hero and villain are shown with flamboyant entry and their action sequences are choreographed at an unimaginable level. Ravi Basrur’s background music score is superb. Even if it sounds heavy, it acts as the lifeline of the movie. Apart from the direction, cinematography, and performances of the star cast, the film is receiving appreciation for its technical excellence too. Editor Ujwal Kulkarni’s astonishing editing has adorned the movie. You will be amazed to know that he is just 19 years and he is not even a professional editor. Ujwal has his YouTube channel where he edits and posts short videos of movies and songs. Prashant Neel’s wife came across one of his videos on KGF in 2018, she showed his video to Prashant Neel. He was so surprised and impressed by Ujwal’s work that he immediately offered him KGF2 for editing work.
KGF2 is a hard-core action movie with violence, drama, and a loud background score. It might not appeal to the people, who are looking for a movie with a social message, family entertainment, or light-hearted comedy. But those who are crazy for action drama, are going to love it. Once in many years you get to watch such larger-than-life cinema, where fans are screaming and whistling in theatres. It is great to be part of such event. Please watch the movie till the end for a surprise.
