Book : The Silent Patient
Author: Alex Michaelides
Language: English
Genre: Thriller mystery
I just finished this book and could not wait to share my experience with everyone. “The Silent Patient” by” Alex Michaelides is a spectacular murder mystery novel that is impossible to forget. I ordered this book from amazon. After reading the summary itself, my inquisitiveness grew. I wanted to know more about the characters involved. When I started reading the first page, no doubt I got hooked on. I couldn’t stop thinking about it wherever I went. Definitely, it has an interesting plot! Full of twists and turns till the conclusion. This book is a perfect definition of a page turner. Not to mention the explosive and enthralling climax. You will be getting a chilling experience, when the climax gets revealed. It has a top notch story including details of arts and psychotherapy too, which I found quite interesting. I have been watching thriller movies since many years and I always thought, I am very good in predicting the climax in suspense thriller. Many times my predictions turned out to be accurate. But the end of this book stunned me like anything. After reading Sydney Sheldon for many years I was looking for more mystery novels of the current era. Nonetheless, this book drove me crazy. In the beginning, the pace of the story is slow but gradually it grasps you. The characters revolve around you as if you are well acquainted with them. You start predicting the story but to your astonishment at the very next moment the writer gives a twist with sharp finesse. Believe me, when you reach the last few pages of the book, you won’t budge from your place.

He wants to find out why she murdered her husband and the reason behind her stillness. He wants to help Alicia by making her speak.
Why to go for it
In spite of being a debut novel by the author, the book has everything one expects from a psychological thriller. I read the last few pages in the night and literally got shivers. After listening to many audio books during the lockdown period this was the first physical book I read. And what a treat to read this masterpiece. I bet, your mind will not deviate from this book once you start reading it.
This book gives you a total thriller movie experience. It compels you to read each and every page carefully. If you are planning to read this book, I would suggest you read it with full attention. Not to miss a single line. Take out exclusive time for reading this book in seclusion. You will get total unforgettable experience. Invest your weekend in reading this book. I am sure you’ll not be disappointed. The book indeed is captivating with a well-maintained pace but has content which can be unsuitable for children. So, I would suggest this book for readers above 18years of age.
