Blog after long time, on lighter side I didn’t know that reading book required such research, I thought only your recommendation is good enough.
On serious note despite all above kind of process to be followed, it’s the your inner core ( may be gut as you say)which acts in a manner that even some very good book you find boaring and not so good you may suddenly like.
For example original Sherlock Holmes I liked for its narration of England of olden days than actually for Holmes skills.
