Yashoda is a Telugu language action and crime thriller movie. The movie is released in other languages including Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam in various parts of the country. It is written and directed by the duo Hari-Harish. The star cast includes Samantha, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Rao Ramesh, Unni Mukundan, Murali Sharma, Shatru, Priyanka Sharma, Madhurima, Sampath Raj, Divya Sripada, and Kalpika.
Plot:
Samantha plays the role of a poor and parentless girl, Yashoda who works in Zomato. Yashoda agrees to become a surrogate mother as she needs money to treat her ill sister Vrinda. After three months of pregnancy, she is taken to a concealed place where she is supposed to stay till her delivery, and all this is managed by a high-end Surrogacy Centre ‘Eva’ owned by Dr. Madhubala (Varalaxmi). Meanwhile, the local police are shown investigating mysterious deaths and accidents happening in the city. In the Eva Centre, Yashoda is staying in a plush room with AC, TV, and deluxe facilities. She is served luxurious food, and everything related to her health is taken care of. But she is not allowed to interact with the outside world. There, she meets a handsome doctor, Dr. Gautam (Unni Mukundan) who takes care of the surrogate mothers. He shows special interest in Yashoda. Yashoda develops a bond with the other girls in the centre who had different reasons of choosing surrogacy. In due course, she observes that the girls who are shifted to the delivery section do not come back. With a lot of effort, she finally uncovers the mystery behind it.
The movie is a pure action thriller with an intriguing plot, suspense, and a lot of twists and turns. The pace of the movie is too good, and the excitement levels of the audience are maintained till the end. Power-packed and electrifying performance by Samantha! She is the soul of this movie. The action scenes are wonderfully choreographed, and Samantha is exceptionally brilliant in every action scene. Overall, it is an engaging suspense thriller movie.
